In the first double header on Indian soil we saw Alessandro Ghiretti shine yet again. The French ace set the pace in qualifying, again becoming the only man to break into the 1:37’s before opening the weekend with a win in Race 1 and ultimately taking the Event Championship.

Alessandro Ghiretti walked away with the Event Champion’s trophy for the second time here at the Madras Motor Race Track, just ahead of Thailand’s Kane Shepherd. The drivers scored 67 and 45 points respectively.
On the second row of the grid Alister Yoong stood proud with 41 points and his maiden victory alongside Belgium’s Antoine Potty who scored 35 points.
Muizz took fifth with 30 points alongside Ryo Komikado in P6 with 29 points.
Luke Thompson and Aidan Wright took the fourth row with 27 and 16 points respectively while newcomer and local favourite Chetan Korada rounded of the grid with 10 points.
The Madras events might be over but the championship is only half done with 4 more events to go. We ship of to Burram Thailand next week and return to Sepang Malaysia in November so we hope to see you all again soon.
